Still Growing and Connecting, Safely!

How are you and yours doing during this strange time? Let us know how we can help! How are your neighbors doing? We encourage you to spend time outside so you can talk to neighbors from a safe distance and check in on them. Maybe you can also contact neighbors via phone or email to check in. Want help with ideas on how to help neighbors stay in touch and help each other gain access to needed resources throughout the “Stay Home” order? Let us know!

We aren’t encouraging communal gardening/urban farming right now, but it’s a great time to be growing your own food and safely sharing some with neighbors. We can help you gain access to and share gardening resources such as seeds, pots, plant starts, compost, compost bins, soil, wood chips, tools, etc. Let us know what you or your neighbors need!

Thanks for being a great neighbor at this time when folks really need access to safe, social support as well as nutritious food!

Hi Neighbor!

We hope you and yours are healthy and finding space for peace and rest in the midst of this unprecedented time. We have been shifting some plans and practices to follow CDC guidelines for the safety of our community and want to keep you in the loop. You can also always check out our website calendar (growingneighbors.org) if you are wondering about upcoming events.

How are you, your family, and your neighbors doing? Please let us know if we can help you with anything related to your health, access to food and other essentials, and/or getting your garden growing. We also encourage you to reach out to your local neighbors (from a safe distance) to see how you can love and serve one another!

We had a great visit to Gonzaga last month to learn about their garden, greenhouse, and Campus Kitchen programs. We are connecting with Emily (right) to start and expand urban farms in NE Spokane and Curtis (left) to help younger students visit GU to learn about greenhouse growing and other sustainable practices. Thanks friends!
