Community Gardens

A group of children gather around a community garden bed to learn about sustainable gardening from an adult instructor. Large leafy plants and a pumpkin are visible in the soil behind a white fence.

Growing produce locally and sharing the work and harvest with friends and neighbors has always been at the heart of Growing Neighbors. In addition to family gardens, several schools and local organizations are creating gardens to provide an opportunity for children and adults to learn how to live sustainably.

New Gardens are starting with Shadle Park High School, Highland Middle School, Salish School, 1st Presbyterian Christian School, The Carl Maxey Center, Thrive International and several home yards. Do you live, learn, work, play, or pray near one of these community partners? Let’s get you connected with one of these or our network of 60+ other gardens!
